Kyle Patrick Smith — Long Bio Kyle Patrick Smith is an author, speaker, workplace thought leader, entrepreneur, and Founder & CEO of HRKyle Services, where he helps employers and individuals navigate the constantly changing world of work. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Kyle spent 28 years in corporate Human Resources leadership, working across industries including transportation and logistics, chemicals, consumer products, banking, construction, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, and technology. That experience gave him a front-row seat to what happens when organizations get people and leadership right—and what happens when they don't. Today, Kyle brings that experience to conversations about leadership, hiring and recruiting, workplace culture, employee experience, performance management, careers, workforce strategy, AI in the workplace, and the future of work. His perspective is intentionally practical. He isn't interested in HR theory for the sake of HR theory. He talks about what actually happens inside organizations and how employers, leaders, employees, and job seekers can make work better. Kyle is also the creator of "The 95% Rule," his leadership philosophy built around a simple idea: most employees come to work wanting to do a good job. Yet organizations routinely create policies and management practices designed around the small percentage of people who might take advantage of them. Kyle challenges leaders to build around trust and accountability rather than fear and control. He is the author of Recruiting is Easy and Get the Job You Love and regularly appears on podcasts, interviews, and other media discussing the world of work. He also contributes expert commentary to journalists and media outlets on workplace trends, HR, recruiting, careers, leadership, AI, and workforce issues. Through HRKyle Services, Kyle and his team work directly with employers and job seekers, giving him a perspective that spans both sides of the employment relationship. His work includes HR consulting and advisory services, professional recruiting and placement, workforce transition services, training, speaking, and career services. Whether he's talking to a CEO, an HR leader, a journalist, a room full of managers, or someone trying to land their next job, Kyle's message comes back to the same basic belief: we can create workplaces where people actually want to work—and organizations don't have to choose between treating people well and getting results.
