Kyle Patrick Smith spent nearly 28 years inside corporate human resources — across industries, in HR executive and leadership roles — living the realities of hiring, retention, performance, employee relations, and culture every day. In 2024 he stepped out on his own, founding HRKyle Services, where he serves as Founder & CEO helping organizations navigate the world of work.

His career spans being an author of two books — Recruiting Is Easy and Get the Job You Love — a keynote speaker and media contributor, host of The HRKyle Podcast, and a builder of career and workplace products. Through it all, his approach has stayed practical, conversational, and opinionated: grounded in real experience rather than HR theory.

At the center of his thinking is The 95% Rule — the belief that roughly 95% of employees come to work intending to do a good job, and that far too many organizations build policies and management practices around controlling the small few. He believes workplaces can perform better without treating people worse, and that trust, not fear, is how you get there.
